Changing chamber from 300 to 300rum?

How much would be an average price to have a smith change the bore on a kimber 8400 tactical 300 win mag to 300 rum be? Also exactly what is involved in making this happen? Thanks.

Not sure on price but I believe they can just ream it out with the 300rum reamer and then reset the barrel for headspacing.

Like many shots said, just reaming the existing barrel with a 300RUM reamer. Should include squaring the action also.

You would also have to open the bolt face. You should be able to get it done for around $200 I would think......Rich
