Good Evening,
Just got my new sinclair chamber gauge in the mail so i put it to use in my
Ruger 77Vt 6.5 Creedmoor. The gauge said the chamber length is 1.940 which is about .020 longer than Max case length. So my question is would is be ok to
let the case lenght go to 1.930 before i trim the case?

My next question is in the same mail i got my new hornady oal gauge with a modified case for my 6.5 it said the oal is 2.760 to the lands so that is about .050 longer than the book for the 95gr v-max that i am reloading for would it be ok to start at 2.720 for my bullet oal?

thanks for reading and your answer

Case length should stay .020 shorter than our overall chamber length.. u can have unsafe pressures if u trim rite to chamber length.. and can stick cases.. your overall coal is really up to u. Most hun ting loads don't need to be in the lands or anything unless our shoot in bergers then the closer the better most of the time.. start .020 off the lands if our magazine allows and have some fun !!
