Center feed magazine box & flat follower for WSM\'s

Has anyone tried center feed magazinbe boxes & flat followers for the WSM calibers or any other hard to feed calibers? I bought this type of setup for my remington 700 in 300WSM and just waiting for it to arrive in the mail so im looking for feedback if any.

Thanks

Yes with good results.

I have built quite a few WSSMs WSMs and RUMs and found
that this was a good way to control feeding.

I have never bought a setup like that and would be
interested in who made it and how well it works.

I mill the follower flat and then weld a 3/16 extension
on both sides of the magazine and bend them in slightly
smaller than the round so it snaps down and stays down.

open the front of both tabs so the round can ride up and
into the chamber as the bolt is moved forward.

offset followers seem to hold 2 rounds fairly well but
the third round seems to be problematic. also guide rails
are harder to adjust than the magazine box.

good luck

J E Custom,

I found the part on the brownell's website after extensive searching and i hope to cure my feeding problem on the remington i just purchased. Right now i am just using it as a singleshot but that's ok too since i have a backup rifle in 270 winchester. The part number is 100-000-535 on the brownell website, can't wait to try it out!

Thanks JE Custom!
