What is the temperature at which annealing begins? Or how hot can the case head be heated before it is ruined? I've found that a 650/660 degree temp stick is used to indicated the highest temperature desired below the neck when annealing the neck and shoulder. Would any "annealing" occur to the case head if it reached something like say 450 degrees F? I'd just as soon gather some good counsel before I ended up trying it and blazing away and measureing expansion etc.
