Is there a equation for wind?

I am about 95% on judging distance with a milling reticle but wind is KILLING me.

lets say (and this is just an example) I have a 12 MPH wind at 2 oclock and the target is 877 yds away how do I know what to dial in on my mil turret? Is there an equation like ranging a target has?

You have to know the value for a reference wind.

Most of us use a reference wind of 10 mph at 9:00 at 1000 yards.

Once you know the mils for that wind then you have to ratio an 8 mph wind and then ratio that again for 877 yards versus 1000 yards. finally you have to cosine the o'clock value.

This method is not precise but given that you don't have much precise data other than where you stand it gets the job done most of the time.
