I would like to know if i`ll hurt anything by grinding or sanding down the palm swell on my Remington 7mm Sendero? I find it to pronounced.

If it is a composite you may grind into the core of the stock. If you do you can gouge out some of
the core and lay some fiberglass mat on it, glass it in, then bondo it and sand it smooth and
just paint to match.

If it is the laminated one then yes and after shaping, seal it with Beechwood Casey stock finish.

Thanx for your help. I love the rifle but that swell is pretty chunky in the hand. Hard to get use to.

You could buy one of the Sendero stocks with the "no palm swell" and swap it. One for sale in the Classifieds right now.

Just a thought.
