Can I Come With Dad? – First African Hunt By Dave Schenck

Dave,
That was a very enjoyable article! Nice work! I have three children. My daughter is 11, my sons are 8yrs, and two months. I have always enjoyed hunting with them. I have fond memories of time spent with dad and grandpa. We cannot obtain big game liscenses for our children where I live until they are twelve. I am looking forward to presenting my daughter with her first centerfire rifle this year. My sons will have a while to wait.

Thanks again for the great read.

Quality time with kids

Congratulations you little ones!

It is wonderful that dads take some time of to have a fun time with the kids.

Our children that live on hunting farms are quite lucky and most of us let our children start shooting at the age of 8 years.

We also had Ryan McKenna from the US with us two years ago and he was also only able to get a hunting lisence at the age of 12.

I include his first trophy with us.

It is one of the smaller game species: A steenbok

It is one of the wonderful priveledges of living on a gamefarm in Africa!

Thank you Dads! For making some special time for that special little guy or girl in your life!
