A 6.5x284 is a **** good round and use to be THE cartridge for 1k Comp shooting but it's barrel life is in the 1000-1300 range depending on your powder choice and target shooting rate of fire. That 6.5 CM could double it or more. But again you have the other part of the equation of how far out is your goal for hunting? For that matter target shooting as well.</p><p></p><p>Consider also a good quality scope you take care of will last a lifetime so investing there is wise. </p><p></p><p>Another question is what exactly is your budget for this?</p></blockquote><p></p>
