I PLAN TO REBARREL MY PRE-64 MODEL 70
FROM 264 MAG TO A 338 WIN MAG WITH 30" BARREL

I HAVE HEARD THAT THE 338 BULLETS ARE NOT
AS ACCURATE AS 308 BULLETS IS THIS TRUE?????

AS FAR AS THE CONVERSION BOTH CALIBERS
HAVE THE SAME BASE SIZE .5320 AND OVERALL
BRASS HEIGHT OF 2.5"
SO THE BOLT FACE WILL NEED NO MODIFICATIONS
RIGHT??????

Sorry on a Pre-64 I'd think you'd be better to buy a new rifle than make the conversion.

If you have an old converted Mauser or something once alreay changed, go for it, but
I bet your value for a Pre-64 will go to heck with a new barrel.
