Got a chance to see a couple of zeiss new 6-24 x 72 scopes. Not overly heavy but way too wide in the objective area, and it looks really disproportionate.

I´m not sure it is going to be worth going with 72, when the 50 d. objectives usually provide enough light capacities.

I dont like Zeiss - my eyes seem not to anyway. But if I was going down this route I'd go the whole hog and get the Hensoldt. (about 200 usd more?) http://www.i-e-a.de/productssimple12.html - And 2nd FP methinks - so not on my list.

They appear to be the exact same scope. Just different labeling?

    Hi Chris,

I think the Leupold Eclipse is a waste of time on a 50mm objective but it might just have some merit on something the size of the 72mm Zeiss or larger (big objective and still mount lowish).
