Yup, it is the old Ford Chevy Mopar debate, personally I don't think friends should let friends drive Chevy's or Dodges, but that is just my opinion...... I love my Bartlein barrels, everyone we have gotten shoots! But I use Kreigers on my BR rigs and Broughton on my long range Silo rigs. They are all good. I build a 25 Souper on a Mod 70 Feather weight with a Bartlien for my hunting partner a few years ago, man does this shoot. We used a 9 twist so he could stabilize the copper bullets better here in the Peoples Republic of Calif. Its a consistant 1/2 to 5/8" gun with a feather weight barrel, not bad. I just got a Bartlein 6.5 to build a PRC, it is the #3 Heavy Sporter, .670" at the muzzle, 7.5 twist. I ordered a Pacific reamer with a custom grind for the neck and throat to match a dummy round I made up. The reamer is supposed to be here tomorrow :) I ordered two barrels at the same time, my buddy backed out at the last minute. Another friend bought the 2nd barrel, now he has decided to build something else. Think he wants to sell it. If you are interested, let me know. It is still in the tube. If you are considering rebarreling a 264mag, take a hard look at the PRC case. I'm sold.
