Browning Abolt for long range rifle?

I have a Browning SS stalker .300 mag with boss. I mounted a hunkemaw optics with berger 190 gr vld. I have the boss dialed at 4 and i shoot 1/4 inch groups at 100 yards. If i turn the boss to 9 my groups open to about 1 inch. I've done very well at taking game beyond 700 yards including a deer at 1080. I put a timney 2 lb trigger spring that cost me around $40. With a mercury recoil supressor ,a limber saver pad and the boss, the rifle has very little felt recoil. I did have to mill the stock around the barrel a little just because it would touch the barrel from time to time opening up my groups. I think the a-bolt is a good choice for long range.

My old .243 A-bolt w/ boss consistantly shoots 1" groups with most factory ammo. Handloads do a bit better but I haven't messed with the boss much yet.
