Undecided which scope to buy for a slug gun shooting out to 125yds max. Leupold 3.5x10x40 or Zeiss 3x9x40.
What do you think?

If you're only going out to 125 yards, both are more than enough. I would recommend sticking with lower power in case a deer shows up close.

I picked up a Nikon Slughunter in 2-7 this fall, and that is more than adequate. I found that most purpose-made slug gun scopes are built to a price point (low) and there aren't many that are exceptional.

No problem.

My business partner had on a Leupold 1-4x20 scope before switching to a 2-7. The objective of 20mm was just too small to gather enough light to make it usable. With a 33-40mm objective on a 2-7 it's much better.

I have an old Redfield 1-4-20X on my Mossberg 835. I have had no long shots with it, keep it set at 1X most of the time.
