I have had very good luck with their 3200's. tough as nails, good glass, excellent turrets for the price. I think they have a mildot in the legend series as well but am not sure you want to step down that low. I am not sure what caliber you plan to put this scope on. Sorry you might have mentioned that earlier. </span></span></p><p> </p><p><span style="color: black"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">Vortex's viper line has a 6.5-20 and I think they still have a $50 rebate going on which should put you under $450. I really like this line and it gets excellent reviews.</span></span></p><p> </p><p><span style="color: black"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">Sightron big sky 3-12x42 is another good one. I really like this power range personally. I am not sure what turrets they have as far as target or standard. This may not be an option if they only offer thumb bar style. I think they have a $50 rebate going as well. </span></span></p><p> </p><p><span style="color: black"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">Nikon Monarch has a 2.5-10($400) and a 4-16 ($450). These are rated very well in all departments and the price is right. They used to have custom turret options as well if that was of interest to you. </span></span></p><p> </p><p><span style="color: black"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">Some things to keep in mind. </span></span></p><p> </p><p><span style="color: black"><span style="font-family: 'Verdana'">The list I just gave you are all 2nd focal plane reticles meaning the distance between the dots will change depending on the magnification you are using. So you have to either have the magnification set to the correct setting, usually the max setting, to have the mildots read correctly or you have to do some extra home work to come up with correct measurements at another desired magnification setting.
