The Nikon Monarch I have on a Rem 700 P (.308 tactical rifle) is very good. Leupolds have a decent track record but of late people are complaining about the build quality. Bottom line: establish your available funds and shop for the best clarity. Be sure to compare apples to apples. Look at a vaiable scope's power range and shop one bran to another at that power range or as close as possible. Thus far I have scoped everything I have purchased in the last three years with a Zeiss Conquest scope in differing powers, all rapid Z. Yes, they're that good!</p></blockquote><p></p>
