Just guessing here... but maybe bullet stabilization has something to do with it?
Could each bullet be stabilizing at different distances from the muzzle? Maybe it's taking the light bullet longer to stablize possiblly causing it to loose velocity faster than it would have if it where not yawing and pitching, which you'd think would result in a lower POI?
This would be a good question for Brian Litz.
