Berger 180 gr VLD not looking good in the Sendero

Me too Richard. I'm thinking that the secant on the VLD makes thefreebore problem even worse. A Berger Hybrid or a Sierra Game King with an ogive profile might touch the lands with more bullet in the case. But I sure do hate to loose the high B.C. of the VLD. I had hopes of shooting out to 1000 yds. while staying within one turn of the elevation knob on the Nightforce. 5.5-22 NFX.

I discussed the twist problem with the guys at Berger. Their thoughts were that it might stabilize in the 7RUM because of the extra velocity compared to the other 7mms. Looks like a no. I've got some 168 gr. VLDs on order.
