i think ill go with a 338 edge... It seems much different and with the option of using its technical name of 338/300 remington ultra magnum edge, It seems to have the pizazz that im looking for.

Get a 7 RUM and be done with it. If it really floats your boat run a reamer through it with a shoulder angle changed and call it 7mm pizaz magnum.

I like your idea of the .338 Edge/RUM. Check into bullets prices though, if your worried about that. The Lapua actually saves you money on brass, it DOES NOT DIE!!
