There is no true Milspec AR-15 rifle except the select fire M16 rifles from Colt and FN that the military uses, but you can still get parts that are made to the "milspec" requirement. You cant get "milspec" parts for an Armalite AR-15? The Armalite reveivers are the same as ALL other name brand receivers and will fit all "milspec" items like triggers, hammers, firing pins, bolt and carriers, barrels, hand guards etc...what is "milspec" that wont fit an Armalite that will all other ar-15s? If this is true, than its new to me. Armalite was the original complete milspec AR-15 To the original poster, Armalites are good dont worry about it. Others might have better quality control than others. You cant have some milspec parts from one company and have "better" milspec parts from another...milspec is milspec. Just stay away from DPMS and youll be fine. I personally feel the best company out right now for extreme quality with cost in mind is BCM, but you cant go wrong with any well known maker Also just because somebody doesnt use 100% "milspec" parts does not mean its junk. For instance Milspec barrel must have a 1-7 twist, but does that mean all other twist rate barrels are garbage? Milspec front sight post...so if you take it off and add a different sight=junk? No. Milspec trigger...you take it out and put in a match trigger=junk because no longer milspec? hell no
