I have in my possession 2 bags of 100 pieces plus a lot of once fired 300 SAUM that belong to my friend and he has replaced them all with Nosler brass and has no intentions of using the Remington cases. Both my brother and him own the 700 SAUM in 300 caliber. I have seen the brass available in the past at my local Bass Pro. Here's the problem: RP brass is junk in my opinion. I've been doing all of the loading for both of these 300 shorts and the primer pockets are loose many times in once fired brass. I like the caliber itself but it has turned out to be less than impressive to me. My brother just mailed me his last 40 once fired cases for reloads as I will be hunting with him in just over 2 weeks. I had to pitch 9 of them as the primer pockets were so loose the primer could be manipulated after it was seated. That's ridiculous. Second, I loaded 150 nosler Btips for him. Can't remember powder or charge but the published test barrel is also 24" like his and these will only be going about 3050-3100 fps. I'm getting 3050+ with my 270/150 VLD loads from a 24" Krieger. The book says he can get a few more fps but then accuracy spreads when we tested these last year. For a build, you can add tube length and compensate that way, plus use a bit slower powder but if you want this brass I will let my friend know.
