    Hi,

I happened across this place doing a google search and it looked very interesting.

I am just getting going with metallic cartridge reloading. I have been doing shotshell reloading for about 6 years now to feed my trap and porting clays habit.

I found a very sweet Rem 700 bdl stainless last fall in 280 rem, which lead me down the path to metallic reloading. I have done a little load development with it so far. Finding time is a challenge at the present time.

I also have 700's in 243, 223, and 222, that are factory. I have been lucky with them in that when fed something they like, they shoot tiny little clover leaf groups at 100 yards.

I also have a short action 700 with a wore out 243 barrel that I am looking to have a Rock Creek barrel put on it, but I have not decided on a cartridge yet. I am leaning towards some kind of medium contour fluted barrel in something to thump varmints and coyotes with.

At this time I intend to learn a lot more here than I will likely contribute.

I hope my questions won't be too dumb....

    Hi from another new fella.....

thinking about your re barrel job on your R 700...hows about getting it chambered in 6mm BR Norma 1-8 twist or a bit slower and push 75 Vmax at upto 3300fps ( mine is good to 500 + yards on varmints or fox ) ??? Then if you want to have a bit of fun with it out on rocks up 1000 yards just load up a 95 Berger VLD.... 3000 fps is do able ???

    Regards ...Martin
