Am I really spitting these Bergers at 3200 fps????

I see this thread has been updated. Did you get your elk last year?

In last year's part of the thread one poster asked if you used the correct pressure for the elevation.
I keep the actual pressure values I input into the JBM program. Of course the pressure of the moment given from a mini weather station might be more accurate but these should help.

Barometric pressure adjustments
500 29.27
1000 28.78
1500 28.29
2000 27.80
2500 27.32
2550 27.07
3000 26.82
3500 26.33
4000 25.84
4500 25.37
5000 24.90
5500 24.43
6500 23.57
7500 22.71
8000 22.23
9000 21.27
9500 20.79
10,000 20.31

did you get it figured out on the drops ? when I run your numbers through jbm with a 200 yard zero it gives right at 6 moa up for 500 yds

I did. I ended up with a 7 moa drop at 500 yards, but that was with a 100 yard zero.

Yes I have the correct measurements in now. Everything is good, except I just switched to a new scope (and MRAD scope). So the learning continues. :D

Oh and yes I did get my elk. gun)It's not a monster, but I'm happy with it for my first bull. I ended up with a 400 yard straight on shot. I hit him in the neck/chest and dropped him in his tracks. It was a great hunt. I shot him opening morning. I should have waited a little longer for a bigger bull, but shoulda woulda coulda. Haha. Next time.

Always a good feeling to tag an elk. Just love the meat. Congratulations.

Yes it does. I'm hoping to get another tag soon. I'm already out of meat. This was a 22 North tag, fyi. It was a fun hunt, with some rough terrain. Those darn trees are thick down there.
