This is great thanks. I tried reaching out to Alliant and was told there was no data for RL 19 for a Lapua cartridge...

OK a follow up here,

I have been asked by Duane at Alliant to make a retraction on my last post. Prior to my post, I asked if Alliant had any recipes for Reloder 19 with a 338 lapua cartridge with a sierra bullet. Duan told me no. From, this I inferred that there was none, given that the provider of the powder had no information, and hence my last statement.

After my post above, Duane reached out to me and suggested I should reach out to Sierra. I directed him to this thread in case he felt Alliant would want to weigh in; possibly disavow itself from the data. The response I got is below:

"That is NOT Alliant data.
That is data that was from the companies listed, Hornady, Sierra and Lyman.
Alliant did not test this data.
We have changed our practices since 2010 and no longer give out copyrighted material. All of that data was given 6 years ago by a different person. We have since changed our polices (sic).
This is why I suggested going to Sierra.
I never told you there was no data for Reloder-19 in the 338 Lapua. I told you that Alliant had no tested load data. So what you put on that website is incorrect and I believe a retraction of that statement is in order."

So I offer my retraction - Duane told me that Alliant does not have data, but data exists (maybe). Now I know where to look next for this. Will report back if I hear something good from Sierra or other sources.

Warning! This thread is more than 8 years ago old.
It's likely that no further discussion is required, in which case we recommend starting a new thread. If however you feel your response is required you can still do so.
