I'm not sure there is a "Best" trigger for everthing But there are triggers that will satisfy most of the requirements you ask about. If you look for a trigger that falls in the 1 1/2 to 3 1/2lbs it should cover all bases. As far as triggers go for this range of use I would rank them in this order. #1= Jewell with safety and bolt release, features= All internal parts are 440c heat treated to rockwell C 58 , all external parts including side plates are 300 stainless. The safety is a better design because it has a firing pin block that prevents the sear from dis engaging when the safety is released. Also the trigger can be removed without pieces flying every where because it has bushings and screws that hold it together. The main thing I like about the Jewell is that all of the adjustments are excessible from the outside while still in the stock. #2= The Timney with safety and bolt release installed.= Aluminum frame and steel internals. Fully adjustable (out of the stock) . Due to the thicker aluminum frame some inletting may be nessary. #3= I would place the older Remingtion triggers hear if set up correctly. #4= The rifle basic is about the same as a factory 40X trigger so why spend the money. I know some will disagree with the ratings but they are mine based on my experience . I have used a lot of timney triggers in the past and still recomend them even though the price has gone from around $60.oo to $150.oo . The Jewell is around $200.oo and would be my #1 recomendation . There are a lot of good specialty triggers available but for hunting and some target shooting these should work and make you happy. J E CUSTOM
