What is the reccomended torque setting for action screws on a 700 BDL SS? It is chambered in .300 Ultra. Can't find a number in the manual. Thanks mtmuley

If the action is not pillar bedded then use 25 to 35inch/lbs of
torque max.

If it is pillar bedded (floor metal to pillar to action) then you can
start at 35 inch/lbs and go up to about 65 inch/lbs.

Notice I said INCH/POUNDS and you can try start at 35in/lbs
and shoot a group to see how it does. Then go up to 45in/lbs
and see if it improves or not, if it does then go up 5 or 10 more
inch/lbs if not stop where you are.

Some rifles respond to different torque settings.

I hope this answered your question

Thanks, As the gun was gone through to factory specs and shot very well, I wanted to return the torque to original. I appreciate the help. mtmuley
