action screw/ bolt?

I hope this question is not too foolish....

Where can I get a little bit longer front action screw for a Rem 700 stainless?

I have a bell and Carlson medalist A2 stock and it seems like I am not getting much threads into the action in the front with the screw that came with it and the original factory tupperware stock.

I just got a bunch from midway and they seem to be about 2 threads longer. I had to file them down so it didn't hit the bolt.
