My original DPMS G2 308 barrel was very picky. It doesn't Ike 150 grain bullets at all. 165-168s are much better but the key to that barrel's accuracy was finding the right powder. With AR Comp and 168s. You can basically do no wrong. It's a 1/2 moa rifle out to 800 yards.

Wilson Combat Hunter Ranger, or something like that, are lightweight. I got 7-08 WC barrel for one of my AR10s. Its sweet!

Most of the accuracy issues with 308 that I have seen have been related to 10 twist and bullets in the 150 grain range. I put an 11.25 twist barrel on my ar10 to shoot lighter bullets really well.
Mine is a 10 twist. 165-168s with AR Comp is fine. It's sprays 150s like a buckshot

My Criterion 20" 1 - 11 and my Faxon 18" 1 -10 fluted barrels both shoot MOA with cheap Winchester 7.62mm x 51mm M80 149gr. Aero Precision AR10 rigs that don't seem to be too heavy to carry.
+1 on those cbi's! I have (2) 22" 11t m118 chambered barrels w/hybrid contours that are fantastic!
