Hey Joe, Gary, All... Good to hear from you guys also. There's just so much going on right now, it's difficult for me to wrap my head around it. This one man is tearing the country apart. If you look at his pictures or watch his face when he is chastising republicans on the national stage, you can see the smile in his eyes. He is accomplishing exactly what his handlers want. Keep the sheeple contented, duped, and ignorant. Fill them with snake oil, feed them fat lies, gorge them on fairy tales, fatten them on government handouts stolen from the cupboards of hard working Americans. Marxism at it's finest. I read yesterday the Iranian Foreign Minister, Javad Zarif, is accusing this man of 'flip flopping'. REALLY??? This comes as a surprise?? This man has no problem lying, misleading and betraying his own citizens and Mr. Zarif thinks he's going to be honest and truthful with the Iranians. He must have his turban wrapped too tight. Guess he doesn't watch much TV, certainly not FOX! This man, while sitting in front of a national audience was jaw jacking with the last president to be impeached by the House hawking his socialist medical plan. He flippantly admitted that 'of course there will be new taxes and tax increases' associated with his plan. Duhhhhhhhh.... really, wow what a surprise, oh well if you don't pay taxes you have nothing to worry about but I had over $700 in taxes taken out of my last check. Suck it up babies, I'm feeding your fat dumb non working asses. While your at it, go get another free cell phone... it's on me. Here's what my congressman had to say about my letter to him. He's a good man and he's really trying, but like we used to say..."It's hard to scream with the eagles when you have to **** with chickens every day" Take care, prepare. Animo et Fide "Courage and Faith" CongressmanForbes@housemail.house.gov Jul 30 to me July 30, 2013 Dear Mr. Burnett: There have been recent reports regarding ammunition shortages, as well as contracts for ammunition issued by the government. You may be please to know that I voted for the Meadow’s amendment, H. AMDT. 123, to H.R. 2217, the Homeland Security FY 2014 Appropriations Bill, which passed by a vote of 234-192. This amendment prohibits new purchases of ammunition by the Department of Homeland Security until it provides a complete report to the Congress of how much ammunition it uses in its training and operations. First and foremost, I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which reads: “the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” While others may disagree, the plain language of this Amendment guarantees the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. While no one condones the purchase and use of guns by felons or other high-risk individuals to perpetrate any crime, we must not improperly hamper the right of law-abiding citizens to bear or purchase arms, or infringe upon rights guaranteed under the Second Amendment to the Constitution. As a result of consumer demand, ammunition retailers have stated that they are running low on common types of ammunition including .22 caliber long rifle shells. Consumers have increased firearm and ammunition purchases in light of pending gun control legislation, which has contributed to the shortage of readily available supplies of certain firearms and ammunition. Additionally, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a recent contract for the purchase of .40-caliber 165-grain pistol ammunition and 9mm 124-grain commercial leaded training ammunition. The contracts for ammunition purchases published on the internet for DHS reflect not the actual number of “bullets” purchased, but a number that the contractor agrees to be able to provide. In addressing the nation’s serious fiscal predicament, we must recognize that a wasteful government is a serious threat to the stability and success of our nation. Efficiency is paramount to the reduction of government waste and decreasing the federal deficit. Congress has a responsibility to the American people to rein in unnecessary expenditures and scale back excessive spending so we are not placing the burden of our excess on the backs of our children and future generations. Finally, the government set up by our Founders established checks and balances, one of which is Congress, and one was the Constitution. Therefore, Congress will examine effective and meaningful ways to prevent tragedies like the one in Newtown, without infringing on the rights of law-abiding citizens.
