I have a new 7wsm and I am trying to decide if I should use H4831 or H1000. The rifle has a 28 inch barrel and I am tending towards the H1000 to take advantage of the barrel length. I will probably use 162 A-max for most shooting, and something with a better jacket if I use it to hunt. I have reloaded for over 40 years but never to the exactness I will need to do to have this shooting like I hope it will.

I reload for a few 7wsms. All shot 62-65g h1000, CCI-BR2 primers, win brass, Berger 180 vld's or Hybrids 2975 fps avg. I would shoot the higher BC bullets.

mine I shoot the 215 primers with h1000 and 68 grains with the 180. Shoots great and is at 3025fps,

H4831sc

Very good powder for the 7mm wsm with 160 thru 175 gr
WW brass with WLRM primers

Second best Reloader 25 with 180gr berger

H4831sc

160gr BTHP game king @ 64.0
175gr SBT @ 61.0 (very good long range load)
Very low ES

Reloader 25

66.0 with Berger 180's
With that long barrel should be excellent!

Love those Bergers 180's but have to load single to long for magazine

Reloader 25 is a moody powder when I played with it. I would say 4831sc would work but h1000 has been the best I personally have seen in the 7mags. I have set up 70-100 of them in two years. And all of them shoot it and well.

Another vote for H1000.

I am using 215M primers, H1000, 180 Bergers. With a 25 inch barrel I am getting 2922 fps.

With heavy bullets and longer barrels it seems to really shine.
