H-1000 w/162A-max moly I just got back from the range and had my A-Bolt SS loaded with H-1000 and 162 A-Max's moly coated (factory). I had a couple of boxes of these and they did not shoot in 7STW so I wanted to try in my 7mm Rem Mag. I shot only 6 rounds 2 3 shot groups for velocity and accuracy at 100 yards. The load was 68.5 grains H1000 w Fed brass 215mag primers. The first group was right at 1" w/OAL at the factory setting of 3.290. The same load w/OAL (max magazine) 3.375 shot .412 the velocity was at 2975, 2963, 2965 fps for my rifle. It was 85deg here this morning shooting. I shoot H-1000 in my Weatherby's due to be very stable in those cartridges in the heat and they are maxed out. I think I'll load more of these try at 200yards and if they perform there move out to 300-500 yards. This is a really nice high BC bullet. Haven't shot 160 Accubonds yet but will load some of those also as this my first time w/ any luck w/H-1000 in the 7RM. Pending what your looking for performance wise I think you'll be good to go using H-1000 it may not give you the fastest velocity but will give you very good velocity.
