There is a List of all the primers with there relitave heat somewhere on this site.with the Fed 215 being the hottest. With that said I find that cases that have a powder capacity of 65 to 70 grains seem to get better SD with a cooler primer as long as you are not using a slow burning powder (Like H50 BMG and H 869). My best 1000 yard load for the 7mm rem mag was H 4831 and a Remington 9 1/2 mag primer and 168grain SMKs (There are 3 or 4 other primers that are hotter). When I tried the 215s it bumped the velocity up but the SDs also went up (SDs were 9 with the 9 1/2s and it went to over 30 with the fed 210s) The cases with a capacity of over 100 like the 215s and the 215ms(A little cooler than the 215s). Some powders are harder to ignite and some experimenting may be nessary. J E CUSTOM
