I am looking to rebarrel my 7mm Rem Mag in the same chambering with a heavier/longer (28-29") barrel. I'm looking to primarily shoot the 168 - 180 gr. Berger VLDs. What twist rate should I be looking for? Or is the standard 1:9" all I need?

Thanks.

The 9 twist is all you need for the Bergers.

Yup,what he said. The 9-twist will stabilize anything in the 180gr class of bullets in the 7 Rem Mag and that's about as heavy as most people want to go.
