Definitely keep it 7mmRM. Great cartridge. Go with a 26" Proof Research Sendero contour barrel, with a 1:8 twist for the Berger 195 Elite Hunters for those big game animals, and the LR targets. If the CF barrels are out of the price range, a Bartlein Sendero fluted 26" 1:8 is a great compromise of weight and function for both hunting and LR shooting. I wouldn't do the remage, too many things can go wrong, IMO. I like the standard shouldered style. There is another way to build a switch-barrel, and it seems to be long-forgotten these days, but I prefer it. You have the smith pin your recoil lug to your action, and then have multiple barrels chambered for your action, and make it a switch-barrel that way. That would be the best style of switch-barrel. The only drawback is it requires you to have an action wrench and a barrel vise...Both of which are commonly found at most all online gun accessory places like Midway and Brownells.
