I have a Classic Stainless M-70 in .300 Weatherby. The rifle is currently bedded into a McMillan stock, I'm thinking of rebarrling to the 7mm-300 Weatherby.

New barrel will match the factory barrel contour, perhaps fluted.

As I understand it, the mag box of the M-70 is limited to 3.70. Will this be an issue with 180 Berger VLD?

    Gunsmith recommendations?

    Thanks all.

It could limit you depends on your gun. Wayatts makes and extended mag box for that action and once instaled Bergers should be no issue at all.

Call Kevin, Montour County Rifles (570) 437-2010.

He does great work and could fill you in on this.

    Thanks for the recommendation Judd.

Anyone know if McWhorter will do the work, or are they just full customs?

Anyone else? Keep the info coming!!!

Do like JUDD said and call Kevin you will enjoy dealing with him. He is fast, fair and his work is second to none! He can do anything you have in mind. I think he shoots a 7mm-300 as his LR rig to if I'm not mistaken.
