760 make-over

I am looking to have a 760 gamemaster rebarreled for bear hunting. i was thinking .338 federal or .358 winchester. what is everyones thoughts? how is recoil compared to a .30-06 or .300 win mag. any input is appreciated. thank you
 
Just a bit of information for you to chew on. The Rem 760 & 742 has been out of production for quite a while and NO SPARE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. If you break something it becomes a wall hanger. I suggest you find you a 7600 if you want a pump rifle.
