I have the opportunity to purchase a complete REM 700 LA that was a magnum caliber. Will that action feed reliably with a 6.5-284 case??

morning, built a 7mmwsm. LA 721 Rem. action. the fat short case will sometimes
feed. I could hone the lip on the inside of the receiver. but this is a hit and miss
operation. so I use the rifle as a single shot. no problem one shot one kill.
the cartridge u r referring to has a rimless case. I was told by a smithy
good one that u could have feeding problems. ?? please correct me if I am

As has been pointed out, the bolt face isn't correct,,,,, But yes, a good gunsmith can make it feed the .284 case without much trouble.

i built a straight 284 win with a magnum long action 700.i just purchased another bolt assy for it to work with the 284 case dia. using cdi bottom metal and a.i mags,its the best feeding gun i own.perfect chamber entry with a full mag or empty one,and reliable extraction and ejection.i personally think the long action is the way to go for a 284.
