I have a chance to pick up a nice 18 inch creedmoor barrel but it's 1 in 7.5 twist.I will mainly be using 143eldx factory ammo.
Any reason not to pick this up and order a 1 in 8 twist instead.

No, should be able to shoot 120's real good also.

Velocities should be OK for 18 inch barrel. Temperature of 35 deg should be OK for shooting deers & elks.
Sg value estimates use Miller method & indicate complete stablity. The 7.5 twist will produce Sg estimates greater than 2.0 with120's but bullets will still shoot real good.
Check stuff above with JBM site. Don't forget to input plastic tip length.

The twist rate may be easily determined using a ruler, cleaning rod, jag, tight fitting patch, masking tape, & felt tip pen. Push rod into barrel about 12-15 inches, mark rod with tape & felt tip pen at selected reference location on rifle/receiver, pull rod out of barrel, stop when felt tip pen marking makes one complete revolution & measure to selected reference point.

Yes, button rifled barrels sometimes vary from advertised twist rates & .5 inches is not very much.
