I don't have a SAUM but my 6.5 Sherman has similar case capacity; maybe two grs. more. I get 3150' out of a 26" barrel using 63 grains of Retumbo with excellent accuracy. RL25 also works very well but I don't like the temp sensitivity....Rich

Thanks I will have to try retubo. I am just waiting for the barrel to get here and put together. Was going to try hogdon hybrid v-100, maybe the new super preformance, vit n560, n570, 165.

was just hoping to get some Ideas from people that have wildcat this be for.

    Thanks for you input.

I have tried 140's, gun did not like them as good as the 130's. This load isn't max yet, just happened to be the first load I tried with the 130's and didn't' see a need to change. I had planned to try some RL22 which works great in my 6.5-284,but have got sidelined in the last 2-3 yrs messing with BPCR's, man what a hoot!!:D

I under stand the time thing. what twist are you shooting?

the rifle i am working on will have a rock creek 1-8 t finished at 28" going to put it in a rem ulta mag action so bullet seating will not bea problem. reamer is set with 142 sierra at base of neck.
    I was hoping to put a 140 3200 plus? 130 swift 3300 plus?

was just looking for starting points. I will try and let you know what i find out. It will be a month or so till i get everything put to getter.

    thanks

With a 28" barrel, you should be able to reach those velocities. I can get 3200 out of my 26". RL17 will probably give you max velocity and good accuracy but I don't like the fact that all of the RL powders are very temp sensitive. An 8 twist should work well for the 140's....Rich
