anyone developed a round off the 300 RUM case using 6.5mm bullets?
I use 7 RUM cases on mine, and left the shoulder alone. You need to use ball powders because the stick powders will bridge and cause pressure spikes. Federal primers, they seem to be hotter. The only way to make full use of the case capacity is to use heavy for caliber bullets like the heavy Wildcats.
Haven't tried it yet. My father is thinking about doing a 6.5mm on a Rem SAUM case. Heard that its fairly popular as is the 6.5mm - 300 WSM. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
