404 Jeffries load

Hello, I'm wanting to try some 307 grain hammer hunter bullets in my 404, it has a 27" Douglas xxx bbl. Not sure of the twist? It shoots 400 grain hornady DGX into 3/4" at 100 yards with H-414 powder. Any input at all? Thanks

Your bullet choce requires a 1:18 to 1:20 twist.
Very little data on your cartridge in the load data tables, ( under Reloading). All that is available is for the 416 Rigby and the 325, if that helps give you an idea.
Farleg (in Australia) might be a good source. Also, you might contact Steve Davis at Hammer Bullets. He works with many customers on a daily basis.

I have data from 2 Australian sources, one being Woodleigh bullets.
