Well I just happen to actually have a lot of experience with that particular bullet in a 358 Norma. Though I never could get my 26" Lilja 1 in 14" twist barrel to group 3 shots under 3/4" @100 with it. The bullet I currently use is the 225gr Nosler Partition and it shoots them in the 0.3"s @100. Apparently the Nosler Partition and Accubond in the 35 cal 225gr size have the same BC. Whether or not that is completely true, I don't know, but I saw no major variance from my actual drop out to 800 yards vs what a calculator said I should be seeing. So close enough for me. Those calculators are just a starting point to get you on the paper. As for the speeds you are seeing. If you have anywhere close to the case capacity of a 300 WSM, 2900+ with a 225gr bullet will be a piece of cake. Granted I have a 26" barrel on my 358 Norma, but I am pushing the 225gr Nosler Partition at 3030 fps with ease. I even had it all the way up to 3100 fps, but primer pockets started getting loose after a few firings so I backed it off a little to conserve brass life. If I had Lapua brass for it, I believe 3100 fps would be no problem. The case capacity of my 358 Norma is only very slightly more than a 338 win mag Case, maybe 87gr H2O. I believe the WSM cases are about 80gr H2O, but they are more efficient. So don't be surprised when you find out you can launch monster size bullets at blazing speeds because those big 35s will definitely do it :)
