Yahoo yipee got my crimping die.
Now, do you crimp with the bullet in the case. I watched a video. It didn't address it, it looked like it was last on the turret style reloaded.
I used it with the bullet in the case. Started out with the die touching the case holder.
I didn't notice anything or feel any resistance, nor could I tell by looking at the bullet.
I have the die 3 threads from being all the way down. Still don't notice anything
Is this normal.

You bought the Lee FCD, right?
with those, it should push the collet up in the die some. No crimp is when the collet doesn't compress. 100% is when the collet fingers have no gap between them. I setup for about 75% visually. They I look at the case. Under magnification, I can see a slight crimp, but the case mouth is still exposed for headspacing.
