35 Johnson

What is 35 Johnson? I have never heard of it. Found a XP100 chambered in it.

It may be a 35 Remington that has been wild cat'ed .

Or just a 35 year old with a woody 'HA 'HA Just kidding. (sorry I couldn't resist).

Look at the dimensions and the ammo if you have any and see if there is a parent case
that could be used to make the one you have.

Some times a person will name a wild cat after themselves in stead of giving it a name that
would better describe it (Like a 35 REM improved).

If you dont have any ammo you can cast the chamber with a product called Cerro Safe that
is a low melting point allow that can be melted with a hair drier and pored into a chamber or
barrel to inspect the bore or chamber.

It can be used many times and is very good for dimensioning chambers.

Let us know what it is if you find out.

I sur appreciate the info. I cant find anything on it. The guy says its a pumped up 35 rem. The dies come with it and some brass. Just no information.

Sorry I can't add any useful info as I have never heard of a "35 Johnson" But every time I see this post I think of the Alan Jackson song.

+1 on cerrosafe....easy to use. Used it on my .357 herrett
