So I'm trying to load some 250 ABs with Retumbo. Nosler doesn't list Retumbo in their manual. I found Hodgdon's loading data and Barne's data as well.
Hodgdon with a 250 grain Hornady lists a starting load @ 95 grains of Retumbo with a Max load at 101 grains.
Barnes for a 250 gr TSX FB have a starting load of 83.5 grains and a max load of 91.0 grains.
These two recommendations seem to be very far apart. I have found some other people sharing their loads with a 250 gr Partition with loads in the upper 90's (97-99).
Is it common to have variations in load recommendations this large? What suggestions to you follow when you run into this?
