Keep us updated on the new barrel. I finally got around to reading all of this and am hoping you get that all important "peace of mind" with the new tube after breaking it in

Did you say you had a brake on it ,,,,if so check and see if the bullets are hitting the brake on the way through.If not then I would stay away from a crome-moly and stay with a SS barrel, they are always smother rifling.Tim
