Factory REM 700 338 RUM what's the distance between case mouth and start of rifling? Searched my butt off and found nothing. Was told that I couldn't reach the rifling with a 250 SMK?

Want to seat an SMK with base of bullet at base of shoulder (not base of neck)? Will throat require lengthening is my real question?

Mine with bullet seat as long as possible to function in Magazine is still .33 short.

Thanks, that's what I wanted to know.

When I get this one rigged up, I'll be shooting single shot but don't think I'll get a 250 gr bullet to use .33 inches. That's way more than I'm used to...
