338 norma mag

I have a bartlien barrel, sendero contour, and 1 in 10 twist. Just curious if you guys think that this would be a good barrel to build a 338 norma mag on? I know most people are using 1 in 9.4 or 1 in 9.1 twist, but I would rather use what I have then get another barrel. I do want to shoot 300 gr matchkings but I would settle on 250 gr bullets if I have to stabilize them. Let me know what you think.

Haven't shot any further than 300 yds with this rifle, but a 27" 10 twist Lilja is stabilizing 300 gr SMKs for my Norma on loadings from 2750 to 2810 fps.

Good! I am happy to hear that this is working for you. I am really excited to get this project completed. My barrel is already threaded so tomorrow I believe my gunsmith will ream it. Thanks for the reply.
