338-375 and 300gr Bullets

Good afternoon folks. I've got a Howa 1500 LA laying around I have been saving for a build but haven't really figured out what I want to do with it. I came across the 338-375 and I'm thinking this might be the route I want to go.

I'd like to shoot the 300gr bullets at 2800fps. Is that a realistic expectation from this round? Or would I better off sticking with 250 gr bullets.

The purpose of the build is for taking game out to 1000 yards if that affects your input at all.

338-375 H&H = 340 Wby
338-375 RUM = 338 Edge
338-375 CheyTac = 338 CheyTac, 338 Snipe Tac, 338 Allen Mag, 338 Extreme etc...
338-375 Ruger = 338 Campfire

Just wondering what you were looking for, the 338-375 Ruger has been done by a few people but the one I read most about was the 338 Campfire from the 24 HR Campfire forum, no personal experience but supposed to be equal to the 340 Wby, similar case capacity

I thought the 338-375 Ruger and the 338 Campfire were the same thing?

What I would really like to do is build a 338 RUM on this action. But I haven't found in my searches where that is possible.
