Sometimes they perform as advertised but not always. My son shot a cow elk at 1OO yards and it was a blood shot mess with 300 wsm and a 165 accubond. Pieces recovered were tiny and it did not exit.Huge wound channel with bullet fragments all over. He also got a 6x6 bull a couple years later and the bullet performed well but did not exit again this was a 30-06 with 165 accubond. Bull moose decent performance about 125 yard shot 338 win mag 225 gr accubond, another did not exit. They do work well but they are far from perfect or consistent. For long range it is ALL about accuracy and I have a tough time believing that they will be as accurate as bergers or SMK. I have never got the accuracy from accubonds that I have SMK and bergers.I think Nosler is heading in the right direction but just not quite there yet.
