I have enjoyed shooting my 33 Nos and it hammers on game.. It is a Lane precision rifle and I have to really say it fits my need.. I have shot the 250 Elite hunters up past 3000 fps with R-26 but I don't like that powder for hunting as I hunt the Desert and I locked up a bolt when I dropped elevation.. I had a stout load of R-26 and it was fine at cool temp but sucked at desert heat temps.. Anyway, I went back to shooting the 250 EH with 4831 SC at 2890 right now and it is a great little gun.. I'm not sure why Nosler made the 33 case smaller , they could have used a 28 nos case and had a lot more case capacity. JMHO.. I have shot the bigger 338 calibers and didn't want that much recoil.. So 33 Nos was my choice.. It outruns both my friends 338 win mags by a good pace, and it doesn't kick any harder.. So, " To each their own." Find what will fit the bill for you... I am really looking forward to some of the new offerings of Hammer bullets.. According to the velocity that Steve is talking about it will be a game changer for the 33 and you won't get your arm kicked off.. My 8 year old loves shooting the 33 and he is very accurate.. Better than me most days.. Anyway, Pick something and Don't look back... Everyone will have a opinion.. I wouldn't tell you to not build a 33.. But I would get some freebore. I don't believe Sammi will make you happy.. Good luck in your choice..
